We stopped at this course at 3:00 PM to reserve a tee time for the next morning. We had no problem getting on at 8:00 AM the following day. Southern Hills has been voted by Golf Digest as the best 9 hole course in America and it is easy to see why.

The course is beautifully maintained. The greens are lightning fast. The scenery is beautiful. There are lot of tall pines. There are three par threes and two par fives. Holes #1,2,5,7, and 8 are all doglegs. The longest hole is #7, which is 547 yards from the white tees. There are sandtraps on seven holes. The sandtraps were the best maintained we have seen all year. This course is A+!

We were brave (or maybe stupid) and walked nine holes. It was quite a workout! Hole #5 is a 438 yard par 5 from the white tees and 400 yards of that is uphill. It was indeed a pleasure to play Southern Hills and at cost of $22.00 for two for nine holes....it can't be beat!

A short, tight, and very hilly course with very fast greens. Tree-lined fairways m eans make your shots accurate. Extremely well-maintained.

OUTSTANDING GOLF COURSE! Elevated tees, beautiful scenery, immaculate fairways and greens! Lots of wildlife. This course is challenging and fun. The staff is to be commended for their friendliness and dedication to excellence.

Mountain golf at its best- this is a beautiful course, challenging but not intimidating, whatever your skill level is. 18 hole championship course, very affordable. I'm taking my second golf vacation in 7 months here! Close to black hills with lots to do.
